Dr. Sendi does provide ADHD treatment at a different fee schedule. Although we do not accept insurance, we can provide a 'Superbill' for you to send to insurance for compensation. There is no guarantee that your insurance will do so, however.
For those seeking non opioid options for addiction treatment, Vivitrol is an injection given monthly in the office. It blocks any opioid use. This same medication comes in an oral formulation but is not as effective as it requires compliance in order for it to work. Vivitrol is helpful for cravings as well, but Dr. Sendi utilizes other medications to assist in cravings and preventing relapse. Call for a consultation.
There are multiple Alcohol treatment options available. Most patients and physicians don't realize the power of medical treatments to decrease alcohol use. 80,000 people die a year in the U.S. from alcoholism and most never took a medication for it. If Alcoholism is a disease, it should be treated as one, much like diabetes. Medications and lifestyle changes are as big a part of treating diabetes as they are for alcoholism.
Dr. Sendi offers both FDA approved and off-label therapies for Alcoholism. Included are Vivitrol, Acamprosate, and Antabuse. All are effective in curbing alcohol use, but additional therapies work as well. Medications such as Gabapentin and Topirimate have added effectiveness in decreasing cravings for alcohol and prevent relapse.
Monthly injections of Vivitrol are highly effective in preventing relapse and decreasing heavy drinking. The medication is frequently covered by insurance. Others chose to use the Sinclair method of taking oral Naltrexone prior to any alcohol exposure. Multiple options and medications exist to help in your recovery. IV NAD Therapy | IV Vitamin and Nutrition Support | CBD oil | THC | Ketamine IV Treatment for Depression
Most patients in recovery present with other medical problems, whether it is Hepatitis, HIV, depression, PTSD, chronic pain or chronic fatigue. Dr. Sendi specializes in nutritional support and is able to assess your status through blood tests, nutrigenomics, and pharmacogenomics to determine strategies to increase your mood as well as your Serotonin and Dopamine levels. There are many plant-based treatments that can be added to help out with pain, fatigue, and depression that are rarely used. In our center, we are able to offer IV Vitamin therapy to help replete your vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. See us at the IV Nutrition Center | 703-844-0184.
Trace minerals, vitamins, and amino acids in specific combinations are the key to elevating dopamine and serotonin to insure your optimal recovery and prevent relapse.
Dr. Sendi is a certified CBD provider in Virginia. We will evaluate and certify patients for CBD oil therapies in the office as well.
Also as an option is the IV NAD protocol for detox from alcohol and opioids. This is a multi-day infusion of IV NAD, the energy currency in our body that is also believed to function as an anti-aging strategy. This infusion makes detox very comfortable and insures elevated levels of Dopamine. Shorter protocols mixed with amino acids can be utilized as well to maximize recovery while single day infusions can be used to consolidate recovery and treat low-energy states. See us at the IV Medical Center Site for more information or call 703-844-0184. We are located in Alexandria, Virginia.
Lastly, I will mention that we are a Ketamine Treatment Center.
